If
bioidentical hormone therapy
is started early, in perimenopause, women won’t need
sleeping pills
like Ambien or Lunesta, antidepressants like Prozac, Effexor, Cymbalta, Zoloft, Pristiq, Paxil, or Celexa, anti-anxiety pills like Xanax (alprazolam), or Ativan (lorazepram), osteoporosis drugs like Fosamax, Boniva, Reclast, or Actinol. Starting
HRT
in early
menopause,
perimenopause could prevent or delay adult onset diabetes, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, dementia, cancer, and most of the diseases that accompany
getting old
There is too much money at stake in “illness-care industry” in America, the hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and doctors reap the benefits of the HRT controversy. Mass media; television, internet and print ads benefit from the advertising money.
Bioidentical hormones
themselves cannot be patented because they are in humans and the wild yam, only the delivery system can be patented like patches. There won’t be huge studies done to bring them to market, so physicians will be better convinced by pretty or handsome drug reps with large studies for the symptoms of menopause, perimenopause and andropause, not the cure.
