What You Need
- ½ cup less-sodium beef broth
- ¼ cup of water
- 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
- ¾ teaspoon Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon bottled minced garlic
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray
- 2 (4-ounce) beef tenderloin steaks
- 1 cup pre sliced mushrooms
- ½ cup sweet Marsala
How to Make it
- Heat a large cast-iron skillet over high heat
- Combine first seven ingredients in a bowl
- Coat pan with cooking spray. Add steaks to pan and cook for five minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness
- Remove steaks from pan
- Add mushrooms to the pan and cook for 3 minutes or until they are lightly browned
- Remove mushrooms from pan and remove the pan from the heat. Add Marsala to the pan, scraping the pan to loosen browned bits
- Reduce the heat to minimum and return the pan to the heat
- Add broth mixture to the pan and bring to a boil
- Cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently
- Stir in the mushrooms
