  • What is Prolotherapy and who is it for?

Prolotherapy is an injection procedure aimed at strengthening tendons and ligaments that are painful or weakened from injury*. Men or Women typically seek prolotherapy to help with musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, back and neck pain, sports injuries, whiplash injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, partially torn tendons and herniated discs*.

  • Adult Stem Cell Prolotherapy

Modern medicine is entering a new and exciting time with the ethical and non-invasive use of stem cells from a patient's own body for injury or degenerative condition treatments*. DreamBody provides a ground-breaking take on the standard pain management and can help prevent surgeries and chronic use of pain killers with our Regenerative Injection Therapy*.

  • Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

As our bodies grow older, the ability to heal completely becomes more difficult and less likely. With the use of DreamBody’s Regenerative Injection Therapy (RIT), our patients have fully healed from nagging injuries and troubled joints that have grown susceptible to re-injury over time*.  Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a process using the patient's own growth factors extracted from a small sample of their blood. When injected into an injured area it can trigger and drive the healing process.* A popular alternative to surgery or pain medications often used by professional athletes for sprains, strains, and minor tears.*

  • What areas of the body can the procedure be done?

Any joint or muscle group may be treated.

  • How will the patient feel after the treatment?

While the prolotherapy treatment itself is not very painful because local anesthetics are used, after the procedure, you may have localized soreness and discomfort, especially after bone marrow aspiration*. Most patients find that over the counter pain medications and sufficient rest help with this discomfort.*

  • Are there any risks associated with Regenerative Injection Therapy?

There are very few risks involved with RIT*. Many patients experience mild soreness for a few days after the procedure*. While infection is within the realm of possibility, it is almost unheard of in the Regenerative Pain Medicine community.*

  • How often is the treatment needed?

Most people are satisfied with two to six regenerative injection therapy treatments to achieve the desired result*. Each prolotherapy treatment is spaced approximately three to six weeks apart depending on the patients condition and Doctor's evaluation.

  • How quickly until I notice improvement and less pain?

Typically, patients may notice improvement after two weeks and continue to notice improvement months after the joint pain treatment*.

  • Who are the ideal candidates for this treatment?

Any person with chronic joint pain or muscle pain may be a candidate.  A consultation may be necessary to determine if prolotherapy or other injection therapy is appropriate treatment for their condition.

  • Will insurance cover the procedure?

    Unfortunately, not.

  • How was Dr. Budnick trained on this procedure?

Dr. Paul Budnick, Medical Director at DreamBody Medical Centers in Scottsdale, and Dr. Ramon Esquerdo were trained by world renowned prolotherapy specialist, Dr. Harry Adelson.

  • * Individual results may vary and are not guaranteed.

DreamBody's medical staff will evaluate your individual goals and medical history and discuss expectations with you prior to treatment.
